Chef cooked meals are prepared onsite

Our resident chefs prepare and cook delicious meals onsite. They whip up a variety of home-cooked meals every day using high quality, fresh ingredients. Meals are endorsed by a dietician and daily service includes:

• Breakfast.
• Morning tea.
• Hot lunch or salad.
• Afternoon tea.
• 3 course dinner.
• Light supper.

In addition to our normal daily food service, our chefs can also cater for special events (such as BBQ nights etc) and can be organised to cook for private family functions.

You can stay social at HillView Care

Many residents at HillView Care have a thriving social life. Our diversional therapists are always busy running activities, outings and events out in the community and you can get involved as much (or as little) as you like.

It’s easy to entertain your family and friends

We know time with family and friends is precious, so helping our residents stay connected to family and friends is important to us. We provide a range of beautiful facilities at both our Merrimac and Ashmore care homes that are perfect for entertaining.

HillView Care Merrimac and Ashmore have fabulous facilities for you to catch up with family or friends. Relax in the sunroom, stroll our beautiful gardens or meet up in one of our private dining rooms.

Beauty treatment without leaving our grounds

When you need a haircut or a beauty treatment you don’t have to go far. At both facilities we have a hairdressing salon and beauty services which are available for a variety of treatments.

Couples can stay together at HillView Care

If you’re moving into aged care with your partner we have options for couples too. You can choose from a larger size room that has two beds along with built-in robes, or you can choose to have two adjoining standard rooms that have their own ensuites, two built-in robes and two beds.

We have two homes on the Gold Coast

We have two beautiful residential aged care homes on the Gold Coast, one at Ashmore and one at Merrimac. Both homes hold true to our HillView Care values and our mission to enhance the lifestyle of our residents by encouraging and supporting their physical, emotional, spiritual and social wellbeing.

Ashmore

In the leafy suburb of Ashmore, HillView Care Ashmore sits right behind Surfers Paradise and Southport. With colonial inspired rooms with ornate detailing, the rooms have double french doors which open onto a verandah or garden. It’s the perfect place to relax or catch up with friends. All rooms are air-conditioned, can be connected to WiFi, Foxtel and a personal phone line.

Our Ashmore premises feels more like a hotel than an aged care home. It’s surrounded by beautiful gardens and residents can use the lounges, private dining rooms, recreation rooms and onsite hairdresser.

Merrimac

Surrounded by green, overlooking Lakelands Golf Course, HillView Care Merrimac has views stretching along the Gold Coast skyline. Only 10 minutes from the major shopping centres and a quick 5 minute drive to the M1, this home is in the ideal location.

HillView Care Merrimac is larger than Ashmore with 134 beds. All floors have sweeping verandahs and we offer twin rooms for couples, studios and single rooms. Like Ashmore, all rooms have an ensuite. To capture the beautiful views, each room has either a generous feature window or a sliding door, and most rooms open onto a verandah or terrace.

Our facilities are safe and secure

We have full ’round the clock’ security on premises to ensure our residents stay secure. This is especially important for residents with dementia, giving family members the peace of mind that their loved one is safe night and day.

24/7 medical care available

If you have a medical condition you can be sure that you’ll be taken care of at HillView Care.

Your care is the most important thing to our team and we have RNs (registered nurses) onsite day and night.
