The Government’s Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) will meet with you or your loved one to determine which level of care is required. A copy of this assessment will need to be provided to HillView.

Who can apply for aged care?

If you feel unable to live independently at home – even with carer support or home care services to help you – you might consider moving into an aged care home. If you haven’t already done so, you can contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 to arrange an assessment, or complete a quick online assessment https://www.myagedcare.gov.au/assessment/apply-online

How do I apply for aged care?

You are welcome for a tour of HillView Care at any time. However, you won’t be able to complete your booking unless you have your completed ACAT (Aged Care Assessment). Contact us for more details.

Is there parking onsite?

Both homes offer secure, underground car parking for visitors. There are designated areas for wheelchair access.

What are the costs to live at HillView Care?

Costs in all aged care are assessed case-by-case, as all individuals have different situations. Most of this assessment is conducted by the government prior to your arrival into aged care. For more details, please call our Resident Services team on (07) 5559 3222.

Do I have to sell my home to move into an aged care home?

No, you can choose from a variety of fee and payments options when entering HillView Care. Please call our Resident Services team about your options, on (07) 5559 3222.

What types of care are available at a HillView Care?

We provide progressive care, when you need it.

Respite Care
Respite care is temporary aged care, an ideal solution for Carers seeking a short break but wanting peace of mind that their loved one will receive the best care and support in their absence. Respite care is also suitable for post hospital care, providing temporary support before returning home. Respite care residents receive all the benefits of a permanent resident, ensuring they feel right at home.

Residential Care
We are here for you, when you are no longer able to live independently at home. HillView Care provides a warm friendly home with 24 hour on-site nursing care with all the comforts of home, including your own private room with ensuite, delicious home-cooked meals, in-room technology, and lifestyle activities. You stay in charge of how you run your day and how you’re cared for, just like you would have if living in your own home. Medication and aged care services are provided in the privacy of your room and the HillView team enable and encourage each resident to remain as independent as possible.

Dementia Care
The HillView Care team comprises carefully selected, highly qualified and regularly trained staff who are loyal and genuinely passionate about caring for others. They form strong bonds with our residents and take a very respectful and personalised approach to care. Their clear focus is on what’s best for each individual. With your help, our team gain an understanding of each residents’ life experiences and interests. This helps us to care for them in the best possible way. We understand how challenging this time can be for you and your loved one. Our care team help families to understand dementia and enjoy quality time with their loved one. Medication and aged care services are provided in the privacy of your room and the HillView team enable and encourage each resident to remain as independent as possible.

Palliative Care
No two people are the same, which is why HillView cares for residents with life threatening illness based on their individual needs. We ensure our residents have choices about how they are cared for and supported, just like they would have if they were living in their own home. We also do everything possible to protect the dignity and independence of our residents. Medication is given in the privacy of their own room and our team support them to remain as active and involved in our community as they choose.

Can my parents stay together if they go into care at the same time?

Yes, we offer two options:

  1. A larger sized room with ensuite, and built-in robe and two beds
  2. Two adjoining standard rooms, complete with two ensuites, two built-in robes and two beds
Do you speak languages other than English?

Yes, we have staff and residents from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Please call our Resident Services team to find out which languages we have available, on (07) 5559 3222.

How fresh is the food served at HillView Care?

Our Chefs proudly prepare and cook all meals fresh on site at both homes every day. We are one of the few aged care providers in Australia to offer residents and their families, this peace of mind.

Do you have registered nurses on site?

Yes, 24/7! Your care is at the forefront of what we do, and our RNs (Registered Nurses) are critical to the service we provide, all day and all night.
