About the Role

We are looking for people who genuinely care and in return, we will provide you with an environment where you will feel supported and appreciated. You will provide safe, effective, quality and tailored care to our residents, which is consistent with HillView Care’s mission. This will include but not be limited to: assisting residents with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, communication, eating, and mobility in accordance with the resident’s nursing care plan.

Our ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:-

•    Certificate III in Aged Care (or higher)
•    12 month’s experience working as an AIN within Aged Care, including experience with dementia residents
•    Flexible to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
•    Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
•    Excellent organisation and time management skills
•    Adaptable to change and enjoys working in a team environment
•    Have permanent Australian Residency or Citizenship
•    All applicants must be willing to obtain a police clearance certificate

Catering Attendant (Ashmore & Merrimac)

ABOUT THE ROLE

HillView Care is currently seeking an experienced Catering Attendant to assist in all aspects of preparing food and setting up the kitchen for shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serving Meals: Help serve meals to residents during meal times, ensuring each resident receives the appropriate meal according to their dietary requirements
  • Dining Room Setup: Set up dining areas before meal times, ensuring tables are clean and all necessary items like cutlery, plates, and glasses are in place
  • Dishwashing and Cleaning: Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area. Assist with cleaning kitchen surfaces and storage areas
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to residents and families. Interact with residents in a friendly and courteous manner during meal times, addressing their needs and requests as appropriate

REQUIREMENTS:

MUST have current police check to be eligible for employment. 

  • Minimum of 6 months of recent experience working within a healthcare facility
  • Available for on-call shifts, with many shifts arising on the day
  • Own reliable transport
  • Ability to provide 2 work-related referees
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Demonstrate excellence in customer service at all times
  • Café and barista experience is highly regarded

SKILLS

  • A certificate in food safety is highly regarded
  • Adaptable, passionate, and willing to learn
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork
  • Friendly with effective communication abilities

Registered Nurse

About HillView Aged Care

HillView Aged Care is a provider of boutique Residential Aged Care services in Ashmore and Merrimac, Gold Coast Queensland. HillView Care began its journey as an aged care provider with the opening of our 40-bed residence in Ashmore in 1997. Then in 2006, our 134-bed, architecturally designed multi-level residence in Merrimac opened its doors.

HillView Care’s goal is to ensure residents receive care with the utmost respect and compassion in a comfortable home away from home environment that is friendly and personalised.

About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate Registered Nurses who can work across both of our Gold Coast residences on a part-time and casual basis. We have a variety of morning, afternoon and night shifts available.

The position requires a caring attitude and previous experience working in aged care. You will have experience supervising other Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Care staff in addition to working collaboratively with the Clinical Management team.

Minimum qualifications and requirements:

  • Current federal police check
  • APHRA registration
  • COVID-19 vaccination
  • Previous experience working in a residential Aged Care environment

Are you an experienced Laundry / Cleaning Officer with a positive attitude and at least 12 months experience working in residential aged care?
  • Hours: Part time
  • Pay: $24 – $25.50 per hour
  • Location: Merrimac, Gold Coast QLD

  • Certificate III in Cleaning and or Chemical training
  • 12 month’s experience working as a Cleaner/Laundry assistant within Aged Care, including experience with dementia residents
  • Flexible to work across  both aged cares located at Ashmore and Merrimac
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Adaptable to change and enjoys working in a team environment
  • Have permanent Australian Residency or Citizenship
  • All applicants must be willing to obtain a police clearance certificate and flu vaccination
