Our journey – Ashmore to Merrimac

Our journey began with the opening of our 40-bed residence in Ashmore in 1997. From there, our story continued to unfold as we expanded to a larger, architecturally designed facility in Merrimac. In 2006, our 134-bed, multi-level residence opened its doors, offering a state-of-the-art facility to meet the evolving needs of our residents.

Owned by Judith Don and Ross Humphreys, HillView Care is a family-oriented business with a deep passion for aged care. Judith and Ross believe in creating a nurturing environment where residents are treated with respect and compassion. Their vision has always been to provide a home away from home, where comfort and care go hand in hand.

As a privately owned business, HillView Care is fortunate to have the flexibility to adapt and improve quickly, making it easier for us to personalise the care we provide to each resident. We have the freedom to focus on what matters most – ensuring every resident feels supported, respected, and valued in every aspect of their care.

Our private residential care rooms are equipped with an ensuite, some featuring verandahs with scenic views. If your loved one needs a little extra support, we offer respite care, allowing you to take a break while knowing they are in safe hands.

For residents living with dementia, we provide specialised dementia care on the Gold Coast that focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and emotional well-being. And for those requiring palliative care, we ensure comfort and support in the later stages of life, with a focus on dignity and compassion.
