  • Delivering safe, effective, and individualised care based on each resident’s needs
  • Assisting with daily activities like showering, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility
  • Communicating with residents, families, and your team to ensure the best possible care
  • Bringing your positive energy and caring attitude to work every day!

What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate III in Aged Care (or higher)
  • 12 month’s experience working as an AIN within Aged Care, including experience with dementia residents
  • Availability to work nights
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Adaptable to change and enjoys working in a team environment
  • A genuine desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others
  • Have permanent Australian Residency or Citizenship
  • All applicants must be willing to obtain a police clearance certificate

About the Role

HillView Care is currently seeking Casual Catering Attendants to join our friendly and dedicated catering team. You’ll be assisting in all aspects of meal service and kitchen operations — helping to create a welcoming, home-like dining experience for our residents.

This is a casual role for a regular afternoon (14:00-19:00) shift. You may be offered shifts at short notice, so being adaptable is key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serving Meals: Deliver meals to residents, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met
  • Dining Room Setup: Prepare the dining area before meal times with cutlery, crockery, and table settings
  • Dishwashing & Cleaning: Keep the kitchen and dining area clean and hygienic; wash dishes and sanitize equipment
  • Customer Service: Engage with residents in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner during meal times

Requirements

  • Current National Police Check (mandatory for employment)
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or aged care setting (preferred but not essential)
  • Availability for on-call shifts, including same-day call-ins
  • Own reliable transport
  • Ability to provide two work-related referees
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for customer service and resident care

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen at HillView Ashmore.

This hands-on leadership role combines culinary skill, creativity, and care to deliver nutritious, delicious, and beautifully presented meals that residents look forward to every day – while ensuring operations meet Aged Care Quality Standards and Food Safety/WHS requirements. You’ll champion respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and inspire a small kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals and service in line with HillView’s values.
  • Plan and design seasonal menus that balance nutrition, taste, presentation, and resident preferences.
  • Oversee daily prep, delivery, and service with quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Manage budgets, stock, and supplier relationships responsibly.
  • Collaborate with Lifestyle and Care teams to enhance the dining experience and support resident wellbeing.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards (HACCP), Aged Care Quality Standards (2024), and the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld).
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and drive continuous improvement.

 About You

  • Certificate III (or higher) in Commercial Cookery.
  • Proven leadership in aged care, healthcare, or hospitality.
  • Strong understanding of dietary requirements and texture-modified meals.
  • Excellent food safety, hygiene, organisation, and communication.
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (HACCP).
  • Person-centred approach with a commitment to safety and compliance.
