Celebrating Aged Care Employee Day 2024

At HillView Care, we believe every day is an opportunity to recognise the incredible work our aged care staff do daily. However, on the 7th of August, we take a moment to shine an extra bright spotlight on those who dedicate their lives to caring for our residents.

This special day, celebrated across Australia, we express our gratitude to the hardworking and compassionate staff who make a difference in the lives of our elderly residents. From nurses and caregivers to gardeners, cleaners and cooks, every member of our team plays a vital role in creating a warm, supportive, and enriching environment for our residents to thrive.

Celebrating Aged Care Employee Day at HillView Care 

Last year we celebrated Aged Care Employee Day with a fun ‘Barbie’ theme. Our staff dressed up, and we decorated the staff room accordingly. We enjoyed mocktail pink lemonade slushies, pink fairy floss, and a delicious lunch. Plus, we had a fun playlist of Barbie and girly songs playing in the background.

In addition to this, we also celebrate Carer’s week on Wednesday 16th of October, with food trucks, a jukebox or live band and a photo booth. For Diwali, on 31 October, we decorate the staff room and share Indian food cooked by members of the HillView Care team.

A warm, homely environment: With warmth, respect, and attention to detail, our team cultivates a welcoming and nurturing atmosphere where residents feel valued, respected, and at ease.
