At HillView Care we have two beautiful residential aged care homes on the Gold Coast, in Ashmore and Merrimac. We opened our first 40 bed retirement villages Gold Coast in Ashmore in 1997, followed by a 134 bed, architecturally designed multi-level residence in Merrimac in 2006.
We are privately owned by medical specialist Dr Stephen Rackemann, who is passionate about excellence in care and the wellbeing of residents. Dr Rackemann believes it’s important to provide respect, compassion and to create a home-away-from-home for residents. Being a privately owned Gold Coast retirement village gives us the flexibility to make change and adapt quickly to provide the most personalised service to our residents.

Our dedicated diversional therapists specialise in organising activities to keep residents engaged and inspired. Residents can join the fun with bus trips, happy hours, BBQ nights, special events and more.
Dining
Residents can dine on home-cooked meals prepared onsite by qualified chefs and approved by a dietician. Food service at HillView Care includes breakfast, morning tea, a hot lunch or salad, afternoon tea, a 3-course dinner and a light supper.
Other services
To help residents take care of their hair and beauty needs, there are onsite hairdressing salons at both our Merrimac and Ashmore aged care homes on the Gold Coast. As well as haircuts, they also offer facials, waxing, tinting, massage and manicures.
We also offer in-house physiotherapists and exercise therapists to help residents stay strong and flexible. The HillView Steps program takes our walking group on regular trips to local destinations.
Our in-house podiatrist is available to care for foot health, while speech pathology, occupational therapy and dietetics are available on request.
