Who’s who in aged care – the roles of our team at HillView Care

For the HillView Care team, the services we provide stretch far wider than just residential aged care. Our professional, dedicated team works together to ensure our residents feel safe, comfortable and valued. Let’s take a look at the people behind the scenes who contribute to the care of residents at HillView Care.

Clinical team: Providing professional care

Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs): Our nurses are at the heart of resident care, providing medical support, administering medication, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring individualised care plans are followed. They work closely with doctors, allied health professionals, and families to care for the well-being of residents.

Personal Care Workers (PCWs): Also known as aged care workers, PCWs offer day-to-day assistance with personal care, including dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Our personal care workers build close relationships with residents and are the friendly faces our residents see most often.

Lifestyle team: Bringing fun and entertainment to our residents on a daily basis

Our lifestyle Team, or what some call a diversional therapy team, is responsible for creating engaging, entertaining activities that promote social interaction and emotional well-being. From social morning teas, to reptile shows, drumming sessions, community outings and exercise, they make every day at HillView Care interactive and fun!

Allied health professionals: Supporting holistic well-being

Physiotherapists

Helping residents stay mobile and independent, HillView Care’s on-site physiotherapists provide personalised exercise programs – such as the HillView Wellness Program, pain management treatments, and rehabilitation support to improve quality of life.

Hospitality and grounds team: Compassionate and professional care

Chefs and kitchen staff: Food is a huge part of life at HillView Care! Our chefs prepare fresh, healthy meals prepared on-site, tailored to residents’ tastes and dietary needs. From breakfast to morning tea and dinner, our kitchen team takes pride in serving delicious, home-cooked food every day. .

Housekeeping team: Keeping our residential aged care home clean and safe is essential to the well-being of our wonderful residents. Our housekeeping team does an amazing job ensuring all rooms, common areas, and facilities are spotless, creating a comfortable environment for everyone.

Laundry staff: Bed linen, clothes and towels – our laundry staff ensure everything is fresh and clean in both our residential aged care homes on the Gold Coast.

Maintenance and gardening team: Our maintenance staff keep everything running smoothly, from fixing leaky taps to ensuring the safety of our facilities. Meanwhile, our gardeners create and maintain the beautiful gardens residents love to relax in!

Administration & Management: The Backbone of HillView Care

Facility managers: Overseeing all aspects of the aged care home, our facility managers ensure operations run smoothly, from staff coordination to compliance with aged care standards.

Reception and administration staff: Often the first point of contact for families and visitors, our admin team handles all questions, schedules appointments, and keeps everything organised behind the scenes.

Volunteers: The heart of our community

While not technically staff, our volunteers play a valuable role in enriching the lives of our residents. Whether it’s offering companionship, helping with activities, or simply sharing a friendly conversation, their contributions make a world of difference.

A residential aged care team that feels like family

At HillView Care, every team member, no matter their role, shares a common goal: to provide compassionate, high-quality aged care that makes our residents feel at home. It takes a village to run an aged care community, and we’re proud of the dedicated people who bring warmth, skill, and kindness to our residents every day.
